Founders

Came to Mumbai in 1934 after some time got employment in KEM hospital. Later Helped many people and villager in getting employment in KEM Hospital. After few years started social activities and thought of forming an organization for our people, started contacting people & uniting them, made a team for formation of Himalays Parvatiya Sangh, which was registered in 1945.

In those days people faced lot difficulties in obtaining finance for taxi trade and other needs. Keeping this in mind formed a group and took initiative as chief promotors formation of Kumaon Urban Co-Op Credit Society and got it registered in 1968. Developed good relationship with some national and local leaders which was helpful. Thereafter took a lead in formation of Himalaya Housing Society and Himalaya Consumer Society. Played active role in activities of municipal union and was honored by Mayer of Bombay and Lions club for social activities.

Retired from service of KEM hospital in 1974 and got settled in village. In village also consensually worked for the village. Passed away on 02/01/1990
